Tips and Tricks for Saving Time at the ADOT (Part I)

Blog | Jul 25, 2016

Everyone dislikes having to make a trip to their local Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) office. There can be long wait times, long lines, and unexpected delays. However, there are several things you can do to either avoid making the trip to ADOT or to potentially reduce your wait time once you walk in the door.

Driver License

If you are new to the state, or need to renew your driver license, you can start your driver license application online before you go to your local ADOT office. In addition, you should take the time to review what identification documents are required to get your new Arizona driver license, such as birth certificate, passport, lease or mortgage agreement, social security card, and so on.

If you already have an existing Arizona driver license, you can perform some functions strictly online, without having to set foot in an ADOT office. For instance, if you lost your driver license, you can request a duplicate license as long as it was not expired, by ordering the replacement online through ADOT’s ServiceArizona website (servicearizona.com).

Remember to check out ADOT’s MVD website to see what other things you can do online to help save time at the ADOT office. After your ADOT office visit, why not stop by Cobblestone Auto Spa for a hand car wash or other car services, or call us at (602) 788-9274 to inquire about our unlimited car wash plans.
